6 slip shades 1930s chandelier which is an unusual number.  Shades were rarely offered in even numbers--3 side shades and 5 side with one bottom are far and away the norm.  This one has an on/off switch concealed in the bottom finial. The entire fixture has been rewired and the original polished chrome finish has been replaced so it shines as well as it did when new nearly 100 years ago.  Lovely styling in the Streamline Art Deco style.  Note the double ring above the body of the glass, reminiscent of "rings of Saturn" space age design.  Could look quite smart in a MidCentury home as well.  Some of the thin bottom pieces were rechromed but still show there age and are a bit warped, but we love the character!!

NOTE:  One shade has a stable crack on the back side.  Hard to see, and only from the interior.  Ask for photos.
